It is clear the center of gravity for the drone startup environment is in the US: Close to 60% of the startups in our database are headquartered there. The UK, Canada and Australia follow but these countries only house a fraction of headquarters of the US.
With an additional 9% of the startups from Canada, Mexico, Chile and Colombia, the American continent dominates the market. Europe is a distant second, measured by number of company headquarters and other continents only house a handful of drone startups.
A close-up of the city level shows there's no real drone capital: San Francisco, the city with the most drone startup headquarters, still only houses 10 companies, or less than 10% of our database.
